Winter Camp Action

Back from my winter vacation in Vietnam (about which more soon), and Winter English Camp is well underway. The Bean's English is my camp for older students, while the 3rd and 4th graders have Animal Stories from Around the World.

On Monday, we did "Goodnight Gorilla" and a Curious George story where he briefly joins the circus. Students created a circus diorama by cutting and gluesticking.

Teusday we visited India with some Rudyard Kipling, learning a few songs from Disney's version of "The Jungle Book", and watching "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi", about a mongoose and his battles with Nagaina the cobra. Students made their own snake hanger.

Today we did two Dr Seuss stories, "The Lorax" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". Student crafts were a Dr Seuss doorknob hanger, and a Grinch fruit snack.
